Timothy Carnes, MD

Addiction Medicine and Internal Medicine Physician

Dr. Carnes is a board certified Addiction Medicine and Internal Medicine physician who was born and raised in southern Maine. Dr. Carnes now works in several different locations in Maine providing outpatient addiction medicine care. When he is not practicing medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, enjoying the Maine outdoors in various physical pursuits, and searching for the elusive sheet of glass-like ice in the zen garden of his backyard ice rink. She is most interested in helping individuals work through major life transitions, encouraging them to lean into their values and strengths. Naomi integrates elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness practices into her work. When she is not counseling, she enjoys training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
