What services are covered by my insurance?

Please contact your insurance plan's member services number to determine the coverage of services rendered for behavioral health.

What if my insurance policy is out of network?

Please contact your insurance plan directly to inquire if we are an in-network provider. If we are out-of-network (OON) and you have OON benefits, we can provide you super bills to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

What should I do if I lost insurance or if my insurance plan changed?

Please notify our office as soon as your insurance plan's status changes. You are responsible for providing accurate and current insurance information. We kindly ask all existing patients to update us with their current insurance plan at the start of every year.

Does Cortex Behavioral Health accept Medicare and MaineCare?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, Cortex Behavioral Health is out of network with Medicare including Medicare Advantage plans and MaineCare (Medicaid). If you would like to pursue care here, you may opt to be self-pay.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, credit cards, debit cards (including health savings accounts), Venmo, and Paypal.

What is your cancellation policy?

We respect the time of both our patients and our providers. To help us provide excellent care and accommodate all patients, we kindly ask for 48 hours notice for cancellations. Please reference our Office Policies for more information regarding our cancellation fees. Insurance is not responsible for any attendance violation fees applied.
